Upstate New York carries a special place in my heart, I learned everything I know about wet plate and other historical processes in this place, visiting my mentor John each summer. Watching the sun rise over rolling hills that go on forever. Pitchforking hay to bovines. Waves of ether pinching your nose. Horse drawn buggies rolling down gravel roads. Watching John milk his dairy cow Alice. Pumping your bath water from a hand dug well. Homemade maple syrup on fresh off the griddle pancakes. Fires that kiss the stars.

Home is a feeling.
