Sara Mulvey is a photographer and mixed media artist.  Mulvey primarily creates large and ultra-large format work by utilizing historic and alternative photographic processes. Mulvey frequently transmutes images by incorporating other medias, natural materials and working with chemical decay. Through these various processes they explore the realms of photography.

Mulvey’s work is ever-evolving - often focusing on mortality, our relationship to nature, introspection, our memories, solitude and moments words are unable to describe.

When not taking portraits out of their studio in the River Arts District, Mulvey can be found working out of a mobile studio, gardening in the company of their dogs, oil painting and daydreaming .

Sara lives and works in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
